In her capacity as a portfolio marketer, Joanne managed key accounts such as Bioplus (Adcock Ingram), Unilever Food Solutions (UFS), Unilever Professional and Georgie’s Pork. She collaborated with creative and strategic teams to develop targeted marketing strategies that drove lead generation and sales for these clients.

Joanne was an instrumental part of the team that spearheaded a new strategy and brand look for 3 of the Bioplus products, and managed the successful relaunch of the Bioplus website.

Fairmont Zimbali Resort and Fairmont Zimbali Lodge

As Marketing and Communications Manager, Joanne developed the annual marketing strategy, plans and budget. She was involved in executing marketing campaigns across various business units and market segments (B2B and B2C) to drive profit growth. Key performance indicators included revenue generation, profitability and expense management.

With a large focus on digital marketing, Joanne developed a unified web platform with booking capabilities. Social media content creation, database building, and website management were also integral aspects of the role.

The No Nonsense Group

Coordinated and managed agency services for clients in both the United Kingdom and South Africa, while overseeing a team of account managers. Developed through-the-line marketing strategies for B2B and B2C clients, with a focus on digital and viral marketing.

A key aspect was ensuring all projects were delivered on time, within budget and according to client specifications. This required careful management of timelines and resources, as well as maintaining clear communication between clients and the agency to ensure alignment on goals and successful project outcomes.
